In September 10.-15.9. NESU Excursion was held in Copenhagen, Denmark. On this page you can find information and a recap about the Copenhagen Excu and browse the pictures. Big thank you to all the participants, organizing team and sponsors for making the trip unforgettable! The 2025 Excu cost 250€ and included everything in the program below.

Program Recap

WEDNESDAY – Arrival

Participants arrive to Copenhagen at their own schedule. The organizing team is already waiting for them at the hostel lobby with goodie bags and a red Excu badge. The goodie bags themselves were Excu branded totes, containing some self-care items like face masks, lip balm, hot pots and a LEGO package!
The weather is perfect and for most participants it’s the perfect time to go grab something to eat, shop and explore the city.

Welcome event

In the evening the organizing team guides the participants to the venue of the Welcome event, this time organized at Proud Mary’s. At the Welcome event the organizing team and participants introduce themselves, and the organizing team talk about the practicalities of the trip, schedule and rules.
Everyone got served a a serving of burger and fries courtesy of the Excursion, after which in small rotating groups the participants got to know each other with the guidance of the team. After the Welcome event participants were again free to stay at the pub, explore the city or go to the hostel and rest.

THURSDAY – Exploring Copenhagen

The day starts off with brunch at B!ngs. The participants can fill their stomachs at the brunch buffet filled with any breakfast food your heart could possibly desire. After the brunch everybody headed to Calsberg brewery, where a guide walked us through the company’s history. The tour wouldn’t have been complete without a little taste at the end ;- )

After Calsberg it was time for our first company visit hosted by Kunde & Co, full-service agency and consultancy, helping companies worldwide transform their brands into powerful drivers of business transformation and growth.
After an insightful presentation and some networking it was time for the participants to get ready for evening activities. The organizing team provided everyone with Tivoli tickets to enjoy. After some hours in the amusement park some participants grouped together at Studenthuset, a local bar run by students, for students. To everyone’s delight, the drinks were cheap and the the DJ took requests!

FRIDAY – GN and good food

Friday morning the participants had time to sleep in or go shopping, as the second company visit at GN Group was scheduled for the afternoon. GN delivers technology that enhance the senses of hearing and sight. They help people with hearing loss overcome real-life challenges, providing great experiences for audio and gaming enthusiasts. GN also presented a CV guide and encouraged us to consider their intership programs meant for business students and provided goodie bags, tasty pastries and drinks for everyone.

After the company visits it was time to get ready for dinner in the iconic Nyhavn area. We enjoyed a three-course meal and two drinks, all included in the participation fee. Editor’s comment: the scallops served as apetizers were super delicious 5/5!
After the dinner it was time for a surprise activity… The organizing team lead everyone to……. Escape rooms! Everybody got split into groups in which they had to solve the puzzles leading to a key out of the room as fast as possible. After the escape room it was time for rest, or afterparty for some people.

SATURDAY – Party time!

Saturday around noon everybody gathered at the town square for breakfast grilled sandwiches. After eating and some traditional NESU hype rituals and a group picture, the participants gathered into groups selected by the organizing team. The objective of these teams is to complete challenges worth different points all around Copenhagen within a time limit. The game? NESU Extravaganza!

After some hours of manically completing challenges and travelling to specific locations, time was up and the participants went back to the hostel to get ready for the Sitz party. Sitz is an academic table party that includes songs, performances and contests, food and drinks, and most of all great conversations with your tablemates.
The sitz’ theme was Valhalla, and a lot of Viking-looking fellows showed up to celebrate. During the sitz, some great program was held by the teams from earlier, and the winners of the Extravaganza were announced.
After the sitz was over, buses picked us up and drove us right to the afterparty.

SUNDAY – Last full day

Sunday program understandably started in the afternoon and was kept chill. The organizing team surprised everyone by leading them to little boats to treat everyone to a tour of the Copenhagen canals.
Sitting in the boat with some old and some new friends, admiring the view and getting fresh air was just what everyone needed.
After the boat rides there was one last chance to wander around. Some people used this opportunity to explore the ´Freetown of Christiania for souvenirs and colorful pictures.

Before Sunday came to an end, everyone gathered for the Farewell dinner. The dinner is one of the last opportunities to see everyone in one place, share memories of the Excursion and say goodbye.
We enjoyed a more traditional Danish meal this time. After dining, the organizing team had some awards to present to some of the participants. The team distributed cards and envelopes for each participant. These were to be filled with your memories of that person from the Excursion and to keep as a personalized souvenir of the times we had.
In the evening, some people hung out in the hostel lobby for some final moments together, making plans to meet each other again aback in their home countries. And that’s how the Excursion came to an end.

MONDAY – Flights back

All the participants return to their home countries at their own schedules.
Thank you for the amazing memories and see you next year!
